The World's Smallest Mass Medium

The Textbox is a soundproof booth in which poets freely perform their texts at a microphone. Through headphones, the audience outside can listen to the poetry in studio-quality sound. At international events, translations of the texts appear synchronously with the reading on large monitors in the background.

Even in loud and hectic environments, listeners can focus on every syllable of the poetry. Separated by plexiglass, a sense of immediacy and intensity emerges that is rarely experienced at readings — especially at book fairs.

Whether at the Long Night of Museums, a street festival, a book fair, or a literary festival: [The Textbox is available for booking!]

“A phono-centric place of worship!” (Süddeutsche Zeitung)
“An optimal solution for readings at book fairs” (Neue Zürcher Zeitung)
